So originally I thought PJ Walker and Jordan Ta'mmu should have stayed rather then be practice squad/backup QBs. Hindsight says... smart move fellas. Too bad more couldn't follow while they had leverage.
@xflboard I dont think its coming back. On a skeleton crew (team execs and league execs only) they wouldnt have hemmoraged huge sums of $ in 2021. I think its just the beginning of the end
NOT comparing here but the main problem I saw with the AAF was lack of stable funding. The XFL had that. I'm baffled. Attendance was up, TV ratings weren't great but they weren't in the toilet, what could have caused Vince to pull the plug?
Do you still think that yesterdays XFL 2021 season ticket deposit refunds were to help a weak economy or was it part of a 2 phase plan..phase 1- return ticket proceeds, phase 2 pull the plug. Phase 3?? Dissolve the league? What say you?
@ThankYouTB12 It is true and sad. Time will tell if there is a return in 2022, however I feel the damage will be done and interest lost. Time will tell
@KonnorFulk_XFL @MikeMillz Do you still think that? Or was it plannned in 2 phases..phase 1- return ticket proceeds, phase 2 pull the plug. Phase 3?? Dissolve the league?
@KonnorFulk_XFL This had me thinking things weren't good yesterday. I was already reading between the lines. Sad to hear this today. No comparison the AAF. I'm with you. This was wildly more successful.
@XFL_Jim If they dont anticipate playing in 2021, just don't re-sign players (who I think are year to year contracts anyhow), no refs or team support personal, and leave your front office and team execs in place. But the way they pulled it seems much more serious and points to extinction.
@ThankYouTB12 Strongly disagree. Attendance was higher. TV deals and access were better ( needed some work in increasing popularity) and fan following and acceptance was so much better. The on field product was better as well. There is more to follow..
