As our movement is gaining momentum and surging toward the next big victory in a wave of wins by democratic socialists and progressive champions, opponents of our campaign have dredged up a discredited old hit piece and are circulating it as a means of attacking our campaign. This document’s narrative is false, it’s filled with factual errors, and it was disavowed by its author and taken down.

This attack on our movement is not a surprise given our growing support and the public rejection of Greg Stanton’s positions: taking tons of money from corporate PACs and AIPAC, enabling the genocide in Gaza, voting for the Laken Riley Act, opposing abolishing ICE, being silent on an AI data center being built in our district, and choosing United Health Group money over guaranteeing health care through Medicare for All. Our movement of love, truth, and people power is rooted in seeking reconciliation and being accountable to the greatest extent possible. And truth requires standing up against baseless attacks, false narratives, and fear-mongering from the defenders of a corrupt, authoritarian status quo.

So much is at stake for our district, our nation, and our entire world. We cannot let the weaponization of this disavowed misinformation impede our campaign. We are fighting to win a new day where a decent life is affordable for all of us, where we are free of authoritarian tyranny and violence, where we end rather than enact or enable war crimes and genocide, and where we restore planetary health for all of life and future generations.

For all who so urgently need this change, we will fight harder than ever.
