As part of its continued efforts to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness, the #AAI Fire Training Institute, New Delhi, has commenced a one-day First Aid Firefighting Course for 120 Safety Officers from the Marketing Division of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)@IndianOilcl.

Conducted in four batches, the programme combines classroom sessions with practical demonstrations to equip participants with essential firefighting skills and strengthen their emergency response capabilities.

The beta version of the new AAI Corporate Website was launched by Shri Vipin Kumar @vipinkumarIAS , Chairman, AAI, on 7th July 2026, delivering a more secure, intuitive and user-friendly digital experience.

The new platform features dedicated airport microsites with real-time flight information, live traffic updates around airports and airport-specific services to enhance passenger convenience. It also offers accessibility features for Divyangjan, a unified hub for AAI announcements and social media updates, and persona-based navigation for easier access to information.

Airport microsites for Chennai and Kolkata are now live, with more airports to be added in phases.

Fast paced construction of Leh’s new airport terminal…

83% of the physical construction is complete. Once operational, the new terminal is designed to handle up to 54 flights a day, three times the current capacity, advancing Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision of next generation aviation infrastructure.

India’s first 6 lane underpass beneath an active runway is coming up at the New Terminal of Varanasi Airport.

The 450 metre engineering marvel on NH-31 is part of India’s next generation infrastructure, enabling seamless movement of road traffic below while aircraft operate above. Foundation work and raft work is underway.

The event was graced by Shri Naba Charan Majhi (Hon'ble MP, Mayurbhanj) as Chief Guest and Shri Prakash Soren (Hon'ble MLA, Badipada) as Guest of Honour, along with senior AAI officials. AAI continues to champion accessibility, foster empowerment and drive positive social change for Divyangjan.
