It wouldn’t be an AAJA convention without post-gala karaoke! This year’s karaoke was brought to you by CBS News and Stations, FOX, & @PandaExpress. Chris Casquejo, returning champion, went home with the George Kiriyama trophy after a tiebreaking performance of “Die With a Smile.”
This year, AAJA was proud to offer scholarships to 39 recipients totaling almost $100,000. In addition to honoring them at our gala, we loved seeing some of our scholarship recipients meeting other cohorts at #AAJA25!

AAJA stands with CPJ (@pressfreedom) and others in condemning Israel's targeting of journalists. Most recently, a targeted airstrike in Gaza killed four Al Jazeera staff and two freelance journalists.
