My personal favorite use case is a scheduled task that runs each morning where I ask Composer to look up an interesting science fact for “this day in history” and create a comic strip, XKCD style about it. Then it sends a text message to a group of friends, very fun.

Big news! I’m very excited to share that Chano Fernández will be joining me as co-CEO of @klaviyo. I met Chano a few years ago and convinced him to join our board. I've learned a ton from him about scale from his WDAY experiences, and was (and am!) wow’d by his intensity and curiosity.

A few months ago, we talked about how autonomy would become a core feature of our B2C CRM, how LLMs and AI were the tech to enable this step change, and how we would usher in and lead this new era for our customers.

* $3.8B KAV — revenue generated from those messages, and now experiences powered by Customer Hub and Customer Agent too (27% YoY)

@JonathanDrake It’s all behind the scenes, no updates necessary. Deliverability is excellent and something we of course track closely. The increased telemetry is a major benefit on this front.

Another fun milestone from Black Friday. Few years ago we challenged ourselves to build our own MTA to get more control over delivery to ISPs and inboxes. (MTA = mail transfer agent, the tech that sends out email, handles deliverability, telemetry, spam / abuse, etc)

On Friday, we crossed 1B messages delivered in a single day through our MTA. That’s still the minority of our messaging volume, but it’s ramped from nothing in a few years with excellent reliability. Major infrastructure milestone for @klaviyo eng. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
