Great question! The RDX is designed to perform best with premium unleaded gasoline (91 octane or higher). Using a lower octane fuel may lead to reduced performance and, in some cases, a light knocking sound from the engine. Over time, consistently using fuel below the recommended octane (especially under 87) could potentially cause engine damage. To get the best performance, efficiency, and longevity from your vehicle, we recommend sticking with premium fuel.
