We keep asking whether drivers break the speed limit. But the better question: are the limits themselves safe?
Many were set decades ago, for smaller cities and slower cars. New data tools can now flag where limits are out of step with how roads are actually used: https://t.co/qzCRfeCIOu

Setting transport priorities is one thing. Translating them into projects that get financed, built, and sustained is another.
That gap is what #APTF2026 is built around, under the theme, #FromPrioritiestoAction. Four days of conversations about the financing, institutional capacity, project preparation, and partnerships that turn ambition into delivery.
Last day to register today (11 May) at https://t.co/rUNvYD5eaz.

New research found that non-exhaust emissions—particles from brakes, tires, and pavement—now make up 38% of PM2.5 from road transport.
Cars aren't the only source of air pollution. The road itself is a growing threat to clean air across Asia and the Pacific.
Here’s why moving beyond vehicle emissions means transforming the entire transport system: https://t.co/V8v5ejrotl
Every country in Asia and the Pacific has transport ambitions. A tougher question cuts across borders: how do you get projects financed, built, and sustained at scale?
#APTF2026 is where practitioners and officials meet to take that question on, together. Four days of sessions built around what it takes to deliver.
