Simplification is at the heart of today’s #PublicProcurementAct: from 3 directives to 1 regulation, from
900 pages to 200, from 5 to 3 procurement procedures, flexibility in setting criteria, integrating provisions from 26 sectorial acts and a new digital ecosystem for simpler, more transparent and efficient procurement.

The goal is clear: reduce red tape for public authorities and businesses, strengthen cross-border competition and deliver better value for taxpayers. Work continues!
