During my meeting yesterday with Adrian Rodriguez, President and COO of @AEPnews, we took a moment to recognize Federico Bouvier, an AEP employee who helped rescue passengers after the plane crash on Loop 20 in Laredo.
Federico stepped in alongside first responders and other Good Samaritans during a dangerous situation and helped get people to safety. His actions reflect the courage and character we saw from so many in Laredo that night.
Thank you to Federico, the other community members who helped, and the first responders who acted quickly. South Texas is grateful for your courage and service.

👀 A peek behind the curtain
We use drones to assess damage when access is difficult, like this stretch of power lines in Elkhart. The narrow corridor, several trees/limbs down and multiple fences would be slow-going for ground crews.
Kentucky Power recently hosted another event in its Power School series, bringing together emergency managers, first responders and community leaders to discuss wildfire preparedness, electrical safety and emergency response coordination.

After four and half years of hard work, training and dedication, a new group of AEP Texas apprentices has officially earned the title of journeyman lineman. Family members, coworkers and company leaders gathered in Abilene to celebrate this important milestone and recognize the commitment it takes to serve our customers and communities safely every day. Congratulations to the Class of 2026. Your journey is just the beginning.
