The League Cup competitions will be in a Champions League format with group winners playing in semifinals and a final. Groups will be drawn from the divisions that their teams are in this season.

I understand the FA is still considering introducing a rule for how leagues would be decided if the season is unable to finish.

The question was raised at a meeting of Step 5 & 6 leagues last night.

Their next meeting is scheduled for 3 weeks time.
