We were pleased to host the right Honourable Chris Hipkins, PM, at a lunch today organised by the Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce. This meant the Prime Minister had the most beautiful backdrop ever - a Bristol B.170 Mk.31M Freighter!

Today marks the 86th anniversary of the @NZAirForce , as well as the 36th anniversary of the Air Force Museum of New Zealand – that’s no joke.
Take a look at the Aircraft Hall being prepared on 13th March 1987.
Thank you for your kindness and support over the years

With Anzac Day approaching, what better book to restart our Reading Room blog series with Louisa Hormann from the Museum's Research Team than 'For Your Tomorrow' by Errol W. Martyn.

Merry Christmas!
Have you got any Air Force-themed Christmas (tree) decorations? We'd love to see them 🎅
The Museum is closed today, and will be open as normal from tomorrow on, including all public holidays!
This is a friendly reminder that the only day of the year on which we are closed is tomorrow, 25 December. Our team will be spending the day with whānau, friends and loved ones - we hope you'll be doing the same 😊
We hope most of you get to have a well-deserved break this Labour Day! This chap looks relaxed on a home-made deck chair at No. 3 Squadron’s ‘Crewies Corner’ at Anzac Lines, Suai Camp, East Timor in 2002.
PS. We’re open today between 9.30am and 4.30pm 😀
