Since being shuttered under false pretenses two years ago, the Ontario Science Centre’s roof still has more integrity than the Ford government. Please support our efforts to protect it, and return this special place to the public.
@JoshMatlow I’m wondering if you could help out with a maintenance request at Oriole Park? A tree branch fell on three swings almost a month ago and no one has come to remove it. The kids are missing the swings. Thanks in advance. @Toronto311
There have been 42 projects deemed "critical" since 2017 that haven't been repaired, and of those projects, the science centre had asked for funding for seven of them at least three times in the past five years but was denied each time, the auditor wrote.

New list of repairs needed at Science Centre raising eyebrows: “electrical systems? Cooling? Elevators? The bridge? Engineers said nothing about these things - now coincidentally all these things also need to be fixed by October,” @ShamjiAdil. Full story: https://t.co/SLN6z5FAFu
Good news. Ontario Place Protectors, a coalition of people fighting for Ontario Place and our public waterfront, has successfully stopped any further demolition of trees, shrubs or buildings until its case is heard by Ontario’s Superior Court on July 19th.
@CdnArch Rarely included in Ontario Science Centre "numbers" - all the "background" benefit. We create Ontario science curriculum there, run experiments, innovate new exhibits -used around the world, preserve science history - all of this will be lost.
"New" location has no "backroom".
While several of Studio Ghibli’s films have screened at TIFF — including THE TALE OF THE PRINCESS KAGUYA, THE WIND RISES, SPIRITED AWAY, and PRINCESS MONONOKE — this is the first time a Japanese film or an animated film has opened the Festival. #TIFF23
@blogTO Interesting article. I rented one of these back in the 2000s. Lovely large lot. I had to move out as a large company purchased the land to build condos.
