International automakers continue to play a major role in strengthening American manufacturing. In 2025 international automakers produced 4.9 million vehicles, accounting for nearly half of U.S. vehicle production. BMW’s Plant Spartanburg assembled over 412,000 vehicles last year - approximately half of which were exported, making BMW the largest automotive exporter by value in the US for over a decade.
