🗑🤣 WATCH: Bin There, Done That - Minister Mike Nesbitt is a binman for the day once again with Ards and North Down Borough Council
🎤🎥Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 has been following him on his shift, where there have been lots of laughs.
Politics is often described as a dirty business... but today, that couldn't be more true.
Health Minister @mikenesbittni has swapped Stormont for the streets, joining workers from Ards and North Down Borough Council for a shift on the bins.
Fifty years after his first stint, Mr Nesbitt is back in the hi-vis as a binman for the day.
The Health Minister spent three years collecting rubbish in the area while he was a student.
On today's shift, he's been joined by his best friend, Trevor, whom he first met on the job all those years ago.
With Mr Nesbitt confirming he will not seek re-election next year, he says the day has also been an opportunity to reflect.
His shift continues this afternoon, and he says he's fully expecting plenty of doorstep jokes about rubbish... and perhaps the odd comparison with Stormont.
