శ్రీకాకుళం (నరసన్నపేట), మే 16: శనివారం నరసన్నపేటలో నిర్వహించిన “స్వర్ణ ఆంధ్ర – స్వచ్ఛ్ ఆంధ్ర” కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు, ప్రజా వేదిక ప్రాంగణంలో శ్రీకాకుళం జిల్లా పోలీసు శాఖ ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా నిర్వహిస్తున్న “అభయం హెల్మెట్ బ్యాంకు” స్టాల్‌ను సందర్శించారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా జిల్లా ఎస్పీ కె.వి. మహేశ్వర రెడ్డి, ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారుకి అభయం హెల్మెట్ బ్యాంకు కార్యక్రమం లక్ష్యాలు, అమలు విధానం గురించి విపులంగా వివరించారు. రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల నివారణ మరియు ద్విచక్ర వాహనదారుల్లో హెల్మెట్ వినియోగంపై అవగాహన పెంపొందించేందుకు ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రారంభించినట్లు తెలిపారు.

హెల్మెట్ లేకుండా ప్రయాణిస్తున్న వాహనదారులను గుర్తించి వారికి తాత్కాలికంగా హెల్మెట్ అందజేస్తామని, వారు 48 గంటలలోపు స్వయంగా కొత్త హెల్మెట్ కొనుగోలు చేసి హెల్మెట్ బ్యాంకుకు తిరిగి అందజేసే విధంగా కార్యక్రమాన్ని అమలు చేస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు. ఈ విధానం ద్వారా ప్రజల్లో బాధ్యతాయుతమైన హెల్మెట్ డ్రైవింగ్ అలవాటు మరియు భద్రతా చైతన్యం పెరుగుతోందని తెలిపారు.

ఈ వినూత్న కార్యక్రమాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి అభినందిస్తూ, రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల నివారణలో ఇటువంటి కార్యక్రమాలు ఎంతో ఉపయోగకరమని పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రతి ద్విచక్ర వాహనదారుడు తప్పనిసరిగా హెల్మెట్ ధరించి ప్రయాణించాలన్నారు. అలాగే జిల్లా పోలీసు శాఖ చేపట్టిన అభయం హెల్మెట్ బ్యాంకు కార్యక్రమాన్ని మరింత విస్తృతంగా ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లి హెల్మెట్ వినియోగంపై అవగాహన పెంపొందించాలని సూచించారు.
