A Command Center, Not an Embassy: How the U.S. Is Running Israel’s War on Lebanon.

In an openly hostile move, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut released a statement today declaring that Washington “will use all means to prevent Hezbollah from threatening Lebanon and the region.” The tone of the message was unmistakably confrontational, more of a war declaration than a diplomatic statement, underscoring the extent of U.S. involvement in shaping and supporting Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Lebanon.

This statement comes less than 24 hours after Israel’s state broadcasting service revealed that the recent wave of Israeli escalation was carried out in full coordination with the United States. Together, these developments make it increasingly difficult for Washington to conceal its direct role in the management and orchestration of Israel’s assault.

What is unfolding is not merely an Israeli war backed by the United States, it is an American war executed by the Israeli army.
Washington provides the weapons, the intelligence, and the political cover, while Tel Aviv carries out the strikes.
U.S. military cargo planes continue to deliver precision-guided munitions and advanced bombs, directly enabling Israel’s bombardment of Lebanese territory.
This war is being planned in Washington, coordinated through the embassy in Beirut, and implemented on the ground by Israeli forces.
The lines between ally and proxy have all but disappeared.

Yet, as has become routine, the Lebanese government has remained silent.
Neither the prime minister nor the foreign minister has issued a response, summoned the U.S. ambassador, or even publicly condemned the statement.
The absence of any official reaction not only signals political paralysis but also highlights the erosion of Lebanon’s sovereignty under constant foreign pressure.

While U.S. figures such as Morgan Ortagus continue to issue threats and while directives are enforced through intermediaries like Tom Barrack, Washington’s behavior has crossed every diplomatic line.
The embassy’s latest statement confirms that the United States no longer even pretends to respect Lebanon’s independence, instead, it positions itself as a direct party to the conflict.

Within Lebanon, the same excuses are repeated, that the country “cannot afford to confront the Americans and the Israelis.”
But what is left unsaid is far more dangerous: that some political forces inside Lebanon are themselves complicit in the U.S.-Israeli project, serving as local enablers of a broader campaign to weaken Lebanon from within.

As Israel continues its bombardment and the U.S. tightens its grip through economic, political, and military pressure, Lebanon’s sovereignty is being dismantled, not only by foreign powers, but by those within who have chosen submission over resistance.

Since 2021, Ellison’s foundation has donated & pledged £257m to the Tony Blair Institute (TBI).

Ellison, described by Trump as the “CEO of everything”, is now shaping NHS reform through Blair’s institute. TBI is pushing a single national data library and a new “front door” to patient records, embedding Britain’s health system within Oracle’s infrastructure.

The cash has turned TBI into what insiders call a “tech sales & lobbying operation for Oracle.” Its agenda mirrors Ellison’s global push to unify national data sets. He has been explicit about what matters most:

“The NHS in the UK has an incredible amount of population data,” he said, though it was too “fragmented” at present.

Two weeks later, TBI published “Governing in the Age of AI: Building Britain’s National Data Library”, echoing Ellison and describing the NHS as “fragmented and unfit for purpose.”

The NHS dataset is uniquely valuable. Unlike anything in the US or Europe, it contains comprehensive health records dating back to 1948. Its potential commercial value from drug development to genome sequencing is estimated at £10bn a year.
