@Rydymymaohyd How many horses have finished 2nd in the Group 1 Prix Morny, National Stakes, Dewhurst Stakes, 2000 Guineas, St James’s Palace Stakes, and the Sussex Stakes?
@AtTheRaces@HKJC_Racing The Racing Post keeps going on and on about affordability checks, but nothing about bookmakers paying more into horse racing!!!!
@JuddmonteFarms@frankfinnegan3 Will be remembered as the sire of Zarkava. His name will live on in pedigrees through Zarkava’s son Zarak, her daughters and her descendants. He is also the sire of New Bay’s dam.
@ciaranodeorain The O’Brien family bred the Group 1 winners Comanche Brave, Porta Fortuna, Order of Australia, Santa Barbara & Iridessa. They buy mares from the best families and breed them to Coolmore stallions.
@hipismo_mundial I was lucky enough to visit Anthony Oppenheimer’s Hascombe & Valiant Stud on the 18th September 2024. Among the yearlings I saw were Earth Shot (2026 Ribblesdle Stakes), and Title Role (2026 German 2000 Guineas & Belmont Derby)
@aobrienfansite@TomMagnier Aidan O'Brien 7th individual Group 1 3-y-o winner in 2026. All sired by a Coolmore stallion; Christmas Day (Camelot), Constitution River (Wootton Bassett), Diamond Necklace (St Mark's Basilica), Gstaad & Precise (Starspangledbanner), Mission Cental & True Love (No Nay Never).
@racingblogger@YoungBarbados More like the Group 1 sprints are now the stallion making races. Even winners of 10 furlongs Group 1 races are struggling to find a place at a flat stud in the UK.
@aobrienfansite@EpsomRacecourse When I visited the Coolmore Museum on the 12th January 2024, there were 11 Derby winning saddles (including Nijinsky & Sir Ivor) on the wall. Auguste Rodin was still to be mounted, and since then there has been 3 more winners, City of Troy, Lambourn & Christmas Day.
