Farage has come up with three different stories about why he secretly pocketed £5m from a Thai-based crypto billionaire. He says it’s none of our business. You have to wonder if he’s struggling with this democracy thing. https://t.co/SWbO8SuhhT
The sums involved in the MPs expenses scandal were chicken feed compared to the Farage £5m. HIs reaction - mind your own business - suggests he may not be cut out for this democracy thing https://t.co/rOJwRqxgUs
Back in May, @arusbridger wrote that the media wasn’t taking the record heat seriously. For some outlets, nothing much has changed...

Sally Nugent did brilliant interview with Farage on BBC Breakfast - the worst he's ever done, I think. He looked more rattled than a baby's pram, & revealed he hasn't spent any of the £5m he got from Christopher Harborne. So much for his claim it was for his personal security.
Must watch: Nigel Farage wriggles in the face of a reasonable question: how if the £5m gift from an offshore crypto billionaire have you actually spent ?
“But woe betide any lefty who challenges the presenter too effectively. Expect a cesspit of spite and ignorance—not only on your own head, but on the honour and memory of your family”, writes @arusbridger

On today’s episode of Media Confidential, @arusbridger and @lionelbarber speak to politician and activist Beeban Kidron about what the bill gets right and wrong—as well as why a social media ban won’t work on its own.

A forensic demolition of Michael Grade's nonsense about how @Ofcom should be regulating @GBNEWS from two senior people who worked at the regulator and actually know what they're talking about https://t.co/VpD6JRSb3w
We knew GBNews is obsessed with immigration. We didn’t know that the obsession extends to the Jews who fled the Nazis in the 1930s - and that we should be wary even of their grandchildren https://t.co/2cR2c1ILS8
When is a riot not a riot? When is the grandson of Jewish emigres who fled Hitler someone to be “extremely wary” of? When @GBNEWS is involved. https://t.co/pblP2JI3Dh
Fascinating reading in the new @risj_oxford report on the news. The cold facts don't quite match the public statements made by some of these organisations. BBC, ITV and Sky the TV news services with by far the highest audiences.
The cuts just announced at the BBC are, as expected, a decimation of its journalistic output. That's what happens when government refuses to allow it to be funded in order to preserve programmes and talented and experienced staff. Great news though for liars and propaganda channels
Some prefer monosyllabic analysis - “Woke!” But those who can handle context and history it’s worth revisiting Hampshire Police’s recent culture and asking its relevance to present events https://t.co/OwUpSUtUh0 https://t.co/OwUpSUtUh0
They took back control. And then handed it to a motley bunch of trillionaires, billionaires and multi-millionaires. Enjoy the pure air of sovereignty https://t.co/ULRXwCCFIl
Joshi Hermann; ‘If we are going to devolve more power to places like Greater Manchester frankly we’re going to need to bulk up the quality of the local media.’ Listen to his discussion with @lionelbarber and myself
