If this government wants to genuinely govern indigenous Australians, they should respect sovereignty and support their application to the security council.
The problem is that successive governments over the years have always treated indigenous as a threat to power. In that process, the Australian government has demonstrated a failure to govern a cohort, demonstrating a genuine need and case for sovereignty.
@SenatorThorpe Is it possible that the Voice as it currently is, could make a difference?
"the Voice has no power.. it has no money and no power and it's at the whim of the Parliament, it has Parliamentary supremacy over it at all times, that is not self-determination"
- @SenatorThorpe pt 1
Thank you all for the messages of support! They give me strength and inspiration to continue the struggle in the belly of the colonial beast! Looking forward to speaking on the gammin Referendum Bill at around 5.30pm today
If they’re genuinely committed to providing an accommodation option for folks, the funding/oversight wouldn’t sit with Corrections, & it should be managed by an ACCO

The rate of unhoused folks in the NT is at extreme rates, remote housing has been in an intentional state of neglect. This does not deserve applause
Why? Because folks entering this facility will be strapped - surveilled & monitored 24/7 with strict conditions.

I never understood why politicians referred to all things Indigenous as ‘divisive’ until I realised that when they say ‘unified’ they actually mean ‘cultural erasure through assimilation’… our continued existence is divisive to them.
“will raising welfare cause inflation?” is not a serious question anyone should be asking. it’s the same as asking: “is keeping people alive inflationary?” deranged nonsense from people who’d fail high school economics & primary school ethics

And I can’t ‘go live in China or Russia’.
The Aust Govt won’t let me leave the country.
I will soon face a secret trial, and will likely never be released.
Because I believe there was a cover-up of war crimes by the Aust Govt: the defenders of law, free speech and democracy.
Imagine being a member of a government
Who decides that this is okay for our citizens to live in
Cities filled with COVID
Schools and public places that are impenetrable to taxpayers with disabilities and health conditions
Imagine thinking this is okay. #Midjourney

Tell me you’ve never experienced discrimination without telling me you’ve never experienced discrimination. The problem is most employers won’t accomodate they just won’t hire you
34% of disabled people in Australia are experiencing financial hardship. That’s more than double those without a disability.
The Labor Government must raise the rate of the Disability Support Pension - and all income support payments - above the poverty line in the May budget.
