Thrilled to see our work out in @naturemethods today! We applied prime editing to multiplexed dropout screens and benchmarked the tool’s ability to induce phenotypes when installing premature stop codons in essential genes.
Excited to share a new preprint!
(1)🔬The nucleolus is the most prominent nuclear condensate, with a fascinating multilayered liquid-like structure, and is the site of ribosome biogenesis. But how does this multiphase architecture form and function?

We are so excited to share a project that started before my MD/PhD (over 10 years ago) and comes out today in @NatureMicrobiol titled “Genome-wide association study identifies variants associated with fatal outcome from Lassa fever” https://t.co/JFLbt76Xuh
We are thrilled to present our work delving into the molecular basis of Ebola virus disease across time! We established an extensive viral genomic and host transcriptomic dataset from a natural history study of 21 NHPs exposed to a lethal dose of EBOV. https://t.co/IBe7qddGc2

We expanded kallisto to translated alignment (nucleotides <-> amino acids), and used it to detect novel viruses in RNA seq data. The single-cell resolution allowed us to determine whether the presence of these viruses affected host gene expression. 🧵
