Watch for new Iranian sanctions tomorrow from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. He alluded to these pertaining more explicitly to China. Most likely this will be symbolic at best (such as a teapot refinery), or could certainly be tangentially related to China. Unlikely to be anything truly significant, but it’s worth watching.

There’s also a more accessible explanation as to why the war cheerleaders don’t make sense. A foreign aggressor can’t try to invade the United States and claim it’s invading the Trump administration. A war on Israel won’t be framed as a war on the Netanyahu regime
