Yesterday, at @borgolaudatosi, a place the Church has dedicated to the care of creation and the dignity of the most vulnerable, the children, educators, and choir directors who came from Haiti, Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and the Rione Sanità in Naples honoured that gift by singing the Canticle of Peace for Pope Leo XIV.​
The privilege of singing in the presence of the Holy Father remains a source of profound joy, untouched by the years. In Pope Leo XIV, a man of God of exceptional spiritual and intellectual stature, the universal Church has found a steadfast shepherd for a time as troubled as our own.​
That the #voices raised before him belonged to young people who have grown up in places where, in some cases, even the word “peace” is not easily spoken seemed to us a sign of Providence.​
In recent days, the Global Gathering also brought them to the Senate of the Republic. They now return home knowing that they belong to a community no border can contain, and our gratitude goes with each and every one of them.​“

ABF Voices Of at the Senate of the Italian Republic! ​

The children and young people participating in the ABF Global Gathering had the opportunity to perform at the Senate of the Republic, enjoying an experience of great human and symbolic value. ​

It was an intense and deeply moving moment for the girls, boys, young people, and choir directors from Haiti, Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and Rione Sanità: a unique opportunity for encounter, sharing, and #growth. ​

This experience represents a significant milestone on a journey that, through choral singing, promotes dialogue between #cultures, strengthens bonds among people from different backgrounds, and fosters personal growth within the educational communities of ABF Voices Of.​

The voices of the young ABF Voices of choristers, from Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and the Rione Sanità in Naples, rose alongside mine in several pieces, while Veronica remained close to them behind the scenes, watching over their emotions with a mother’s care.​

There, among the hills where I was born, their singing, so full of wonder, energy, and life, seemed to me the sure promise of better days to come.​

Yesterday, the young choristers of ABF Voices Of took the stage at the #TeatrodelSilenzio for the dress rehearsal of the concert in which they will perform today alongside founding conductor Andrea Bocelli.​

It was a deeply moving moment for the girls, boys, young people, and choir directors from Haiti, Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and Rione Sanità, who are currently sharing in the experience of the first ABF Global Gathering. ​

Tonight’s performance marks an important milestone in a journey built over time through choral practice, the encounter between different cultures, and the personal growth experienced within the educational communities of ABF Voices Of.

“Even before we understand the words, a child’s singing voice speaks directly to the heart. In Tuscany, the young choristers of ABF Voices of, together with their conductors, who have come from Haiti, Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and the Rione Sanità in Naples for the first Global Gathering, each has sang in their own language before the friends who support the Foundation. ​

Veronica and I have listened to them with hearts full of joy, because when #stories from such different worlds come together in harmony, #music once again works its oldest miracle: it allows us to recognize one another as brothers and sisters even before we truly know one another. ​

To these young people, and to all those who make their journey possible, we offer our deepest gratitude, together with the hope that their voices may always find their way to one another, wherever life may lead them.” ​

After months of preparation, meetings, rehearsals, and experiences across the regions involved in the ABF Voices Of program, the first ABF Global Gathering has officially begun.

Over the coming days, more than 160 children and young people, together with choir directors from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds, including Haiti, Uganda, the Holy Land, Camerino, and Rione Sanità, will share spaces, activities, experiences, and everyday moments, discovering firsthand what it means to be part of a global community.

Throughout the Global Gathering, each choir will have the opportunity to represent its country or community of origin through themed cultural evenings. The first evening was dedicated to Italy, offering participants a chance to share and celebrate its traditions, culture, and spirit together.

“Construction continues in San Ginesio on the new IPSIA “R. Frau.”

A new vocational school is taking shape, with classrooms and laboratories designed to bring together education, technical expertise, and employment opportunities in a territory that, following the 2016 earthquake, continues to invest in its future by creating new possibilities for its younger generations.

The Andrea Bocelli Foundation supports earthquake-affected communities through educational projects that make a lasting impact on everyday life. In San Ginesio, this commitment takes the form of a school designed for local students, allowing them to study close to home while preparing for professions connected to both the region’s productive traditions and its future development.

One educational pathway will focus on Mechanics, Electronics, Automation, Robotics, and Industrial Information Technology; the other on Woodworking, Furniture Design, Product Design, and Violin Making. Technology and craftsmanship, innovation and tradition, engineering and the culture of sound will coexist in the same building, creating learning opportunities that serve today's professions while cultivating the talents this territory can continue to generate.

In September, the doors will open. Construction is moving steadily toward the moment when this vision becomes a living school—ready to welcome students, teachers, laboratories, and the everyday experiences that transform a building into a place of learning, opportunity, and community.”

Un altro tassello si è aggiunto al programma ABF Digital Lab, con la consegna all’IRCCS “G. Gaslini” di Genova del visore VR per la realtà aumentata, che segna il completamento del progetto già avviato dalla Fondazione all’interno dell’ospedale pediatrico genovese.​

Accanto all’ABF Teachbus, un laboratorio digitale mobile,  il nuovo visore apre ai piccoli pazienti orizzonti inesplorati, mondi da osservare, storie da scoprire, esperienze immersive capaci di nutrire immaginazione e motivazione.​

Sempre con il supporto dell’atelierista digitale ABF, che affianca i bambini, i docenti delle Scuole in Ospedale e le famiglie nell’utilizzo consapevole delle tecnologie, trasformando l’esperienza della degenza in un tempo in cui la cura non spegne il desiderio di imparare, ma lo accompagna con delicatezza.​

Il progetto ABF Digital Lab ha raggiunto anche l’Ospedale Pediatrico Filippo Del Ponte di Varese, ampliando il suo impegno nel potenziare le attività educative in ospedale per bambine e bambini ospedalizzati l’accesso a un’istruzione di qualità, anche durante il ricovero.​

Affiancandosi alle attività delle Scuola in Ospedale, il progetto introduce strumenti innovativi che rendono la didattica più interattiva, inclusiva e vicina ai bisogni di ogni bambino.​
​
In questo contesto, un ruolo chiave è rivestito dall’atelierista digitale ABF, una figura professionale specializzata che guida i piccoli pazienti e i docenti nell’uso consapevole delle tecnologie, trasformandole in ponti di relazione, conoscenza e scoperta.​

L’avvio ufficiale del progetto a Varese è stato segnato dalla consegna dell’ABF Teachbus, una libreria su ruote che porta con sé tablet, computer portatili e del visore VR.​

Il progetto è realizzato grazie al sostegno della rete agenziale Generali Italia e di Fondazione KPMG.

Si è appena conclusa la partecipazione di Andrea Bocelli Foundation al Festival Economia Trento 2026, attraverso due momenti di confronto dedicati ai temi della filantropia, dell’economia sociale e della generazione di impatto.

Nel panel “Passaggio generazionale e filantropia. Gestire la ricchezza: visione, responsabilità, tempo”, LauraBiancalani, Direttore Generale di Andrea Bocelli Foundation, e Silvia Gualdani, Amministratore Delegato di ABF Philanthropy Advisors, hanno approfondito il ruolo che la filantropia può avere nella costruzione di valore condiviso e impatto duraturo.

Nel secondo appuntamento, “Il ruolo della finanza e dell’economia sociale nella crescita economica”, Laura Biancalani ha portato il contributo di ABF all’interno di una riflessione dedicata a come relazioni, competenze e progettualità condivise possano contribuire allo sviluppo dei territori e delle comunità.

“Yesterday we were in Lajatico to celebrate the tenth anniversary of CentroZEROSEI “Alessandro Bocelli”, the educational center created on land donated to the Municipality to offer local children a school that accompanies them from the very first months of life. That gesture bore my father's name, Alessandro, and his belief that investing in childhood is among the most meaningful and far-reaching acts an adult can make.
Over the past ten years, the Center has welcomed children up to the age of six.

Through the shared commitment of the Municipality, the Capannoli Comprehensive Institute, educators, teachers, and our Foundation, it has grown into a project where music naturally becomes part of everyday learning through instruments, workshops, and continuous pedagogical training.

The gathering, entitled “Looking Ahead. A School for Villages,” was conceived as a dialogue between architecture and pedagogy, reflecting on the place childhood must continue to hold within villages and smaller communities. In these places, the quality of educational services directly shapes daily life and determines whether families can remain, grow, and build their futures there.

A community that invests in the earliest years of children is already investing in its own future. It offers families a true point of reference while helping raise individuals who are better able to understand the world, participate in collective life, and recognize the value of the place they come from.”
