There are some long-time Liberals upset that I’m running for leader, in part, because I am trying to pull my party back towards liberalism.

I believe that:

- The law should apply equally to everyone
- People should be judged on merit
- Markets should be competitive
- Opportunity must be real for all
- Government should be secular
- Speech should be free
- Excellence should be celebrated

These values are simple, but they are good, and our politics has wandered too far away from them.

But right now, city leadership isn’t holding up its end of the bargain.

We don't have to keep settling for mediocrity and managed decline. We can build a world class city that all of us can be proud of. We just need leadership as good as our people to do it.

@fahdananta Probably not a good answer but taking a stab: I think you have to spell it out with an example of what they don't know. Something that actually makes them say "oh crap, that's big, if I didn't know that, what else am I missing?"

@ZainManji The one thing that may be a great add on is routing externally (ie outside accounts), but there’s not a huge incentive for fintechs to do this as they are trying to win the biggest share of wallet.

@ZainManji I was part of the team who built this at Wealthsimple and Coinbase. It’s basically tablestakes features for every major fintech with direct deposit. I’m not sure this is as big of a thing as this clip makes it out to be.

It’s becoming a commoditized feature.
