Al-Imām Al-'Allāmah Ash-Shaykh Abū Muḥammad Rabī' ibn Hādī 'Umayr Al-Madkhalī (حفظه الله) said:
The starting point and foundation of the just, truth seeking Muslim is always:
"... Say (O Muhammad ﷺ), "Produce your proof if you are truthful." (2:111)
[Al-Majmū' 8/81]
If you want to know Ibn Taymiyyah’s views on Sufism, then read the books of Ibn Taymiyyah himself.
Do not rely on extreme Sufis such as Abdal Hakim Murad or online personalities to tell you what he believed.
Ibn Taymiyyah devoted extensive discussion and analysis to Sufism in his writings. An entire volume of Majmu‘ al-Fatawa addresses the subject, offering scholarly critique, clarification, and advice.
He also authored refutations of some of the prominent Sufi figures and doctrines of his time, such as al-Radd ‘ala al-Bakri concerning the issue of seeking aid and rescue from other than Allah.
The Shia, certain Sufi groups, and others opposed him fiercely and actively sought his imprisonment. The events surrounding the Wasitiyyah inquisition are sufficient to demonstrate this.
Likewise, if you wish to know the reality of Ibn Arabi, then refer to what the scholars of Tawhid and Hadith said about him after examining his works directly, not to Western academics.
The most reliable way to understand a person is through his own writings and the explanations of reliable, upright scholars most knowledgeable about him.
If you’ve been Muslim for years and don’t know the full name of the Prophet ﷺ here it is.
And if you do know it, here’s what every Muslim should know about the man behind it…
A valuable lesson from calamities and afflictions is that they reveal your true friends & real enemies
The poet said:
May Allah reward calamities with all that is good
As through them I know my enemy from my friend
Al-Allaamah Shaykh Rabee رحمه الله said
"And this individual who used to be a Salafi and then deviated becomes worse than the original innovator, & more stubborn, and resorts to lies & slander whilst waging war against the truth & its people!!"

When we upheld the advice of our scholars, Allah honored us & raised our call.
When some back-tracked & began leaving our scholars, Allah disgraced & lowered them.
This is a common by-product of the global attention economy, which relies on tweets and minutes-long snippets to let people pretend they have “done their research” and speak far beyond their competence. A clear straying from principled learning towards a rancid swamp of pseudonymous social media trolling. It's become enough to log off and delete social media for one’s spiritual well-being. كف الله المسلمين شرهم
More on why I ask our brothers not to share short clips from my recent lecture in Philadelphia, but to instead share the entire lecture & encourage people to listen to it fully & attentively, seeking success from Allah:
"...Most of those who have the greatest need to hear these matters explained in detail have been privately indoctrinated into exclusive chat groups and private and semi-private bubbles and echo chambers where these violations and transgressions are spread without objection, until they perceive some kind of consensus about their validity. At this point, it is very difficult to get through to them. If the first thing they hear is their beloved ustaadh being refuted, they quickly resist and push back, without investigating. They need people to care enough about them to reach out and ask them to please learn and apply the principles established in the first part of the lecture. The Deen is naseehah (sincerity and sincere advice), and the gap between the people and their scholars is being cemented more and more each day. May Allah reward you for your care and concern that leads to diligent and sincere attempts to help them..."

After six years now, liars still claiming that I invented some obligation of social distancing in the prayer rows: Are you not yet exhausted?
You could not stand that he said it, but Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan (may Allah preserve him) actually issued that specific verdict. You could not respond to him, so you falsely accused the translator.
Your mockery & ridicule is only of an actual fatwaa from an actual senior scholar; nothing of that is from me.

Fanatical blind followers who go on parroting this lie: Wake up & return to your senses. Isn't six years of humiliating yourself enough?

May Allah bless you Sh. Abul Hasan for this short, yet important reminder.
I recall years ago visiting Sh. Ubaid (may Allah have mercy on him), and someone knocked at his door with an envelope. The Shaykh asked me to open it and see what it was. I did so and mentioned that there were documents prepared in defense of Faaleh al-Harbi. Sh. Ubaid immediately said:
Mustafa, when you leave, throw those papers in the trash can outside!!!
