Anybody know what's happening between Serre Rd Cem No1 & the French National Cem ? There are temporary traffic lights & the road Infront of the cemeteries has been re-laid. A large "lay-by" has been built on the cemeteries side of the road, & the field between them cleared🤔

The annual memorial service at St. John's Church, Accrington for the Accrington Pals will take place on Sunday 15th February (seated by 12.45pm for 1pm service). The service is again extended to the memory of all those from Accrington & District who served in the Great War.
Ive been able to acquire the Memorial Scroll for #Chorley Pal, Pte Pilkington. He died in 1917. The scroll now joins his medals already in my collection. Interestingly, I also have the Memorial Scroll of Pte Proctor, George's next door neighbour.
