I have felt compelled to share this every four years come November since 2008, and it only seems to feel more urgent each time…

Given that there are many questions and contradictions in the messaging being put out and the reports simply don’t add up… cc @BBCGlos@stroudnews@StroudTimes
Oh hey @StroudDC, given that you only told users about the planned lido mothballing on Thursday, and the deadline to submit public questions to the relevant committee was 12noon Friday, do you think you might extend that deadline?
There was not just an echo of Yeats but a hint of #precog in @adamhorovitz’s post in our #FallOfAmerica series:
the old men in their high castles
built of cloud
may control the weather
for a little while – but this
this is a time
of solid states made molten
@GailSimone Otherwise, Cerebus (also up until issue 200, but for different reasons) and Love and Rockets. Moore's run on Swamp Thing and Morrison's run on Doom Patrol are up there too.
@GailSimone For superheroes, Claremont's run on Uncanny X-Men up until issue 200 - it could have ended there, with the beginning of Magneto's redemption, and I'd have been happy - even with all the loose ends untied.
@GailSimone Showing my age a little, but it's a tie between The Death of Jean DeWolff and Kraven's Last Hunt, both of which I read as they came out and both of which perfectly exemplify Spider-man's character and his connections with the people around him, be they his friends or his foes.
*Final call* @ClarkTracey1 Quartet: "Under Milk Wood" 8pm tonight (Mon 29) #VictoryClub GL50 2SY. Update: @adamhorovitz one of the narrators - a real coup!

In 'Awaiting Update', @adamhorovitz's speaker narrates a surreal rail experience. Exploring loss, relationships and nature, the poem doesn't take long to get moving.

A new poem of mine up on @InkSweatTears this morning, remembering my father and staring out of train windows at the weird state of the world -

Almost wish I’d watched the match, but then I’d have missed (usually hysterically over-excited ) footie commentators quietly beginning to channel the laconic bonhomie of cricket commentary… delightful!
Tuned in to the Grimsby - Man U penalty shootout on Radio 5. Utterly delightful to hear the commentators’ genteel astonishment and increasing amusement as goal after goal after goal went in.
#Stroud folk, I’m reading with music at 9.30 tonight at the launch of this exciting new venture down on Locking Hill! Come check out the new space, enjoy the ambience, listen to a few poems and some music and find out more!

The latest goverment guff about farming is…
“The problem with farming is the lack of profitability”
This is a short thread on why this sensible-sounding focus should be treated with great suspicion…

On the train to Hereford to record a poem, set to improvised music, listening to #Youth’s ambient take on Ginsberg’s Iron Horse (written travelling across America by train). A perfect confluence of mood, need and situation. All is light and blur and words rolling over sounds.
To celebrate completing The Library Trilogy with THE BOOK THAT HELD HER HEART, I'm giving away the full set of signed Locked Library special editions.
Winner selected randomly from entries across my social media.
Just retweet & you're in!
