24-year-old Sudarshan Yellamaraju, who learned to play golf via YouTube, has an outside chance at @THEPLAYERS title in his tournament debut.
Who is he?
Yellamaraju was born in India and moved with his family to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada as a pre-schooler, where he first started hitting range balls with his dad at a local golf dome.
Yellamaraju was fascinated by the game and began watching YouTube videos and golf on TV with his dad, Suresh. As he became serious about improving as a golfer, he began analyzing videos of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy to develop his own ball-striking.
When he was 11, Yellamaraju moved to the Toronto area with his family. He was a late bloomer and wasn't a sought-after college golf recruit, ultimately choosing to eschew college golf and turn pro at age 19 after a gap year.
Yellamaraju earned his 2024 @KornFerryTour card via Q-School. After narrowly keeping conditional status as a rookie, he won the second event of the 2025 season and ultimately earned his first @PGATOUR card at No. 19 on the #KornFerryTour Points List, sweating out the bubble on the season's final day.
Now in his seventh start as a PGA TOUR member, he's thriving at TPC Sawgrass.
We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Stephen Douglas Ross of Dundas, Ont. — a 2011 inductee into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and one of the most influential administrators in Canadian golf history.

Impacting Canadian youth, one birdie at a time. This season, @adidas is strengthening youth access and development through the game by donating to First Tee – Canada for every birdie made by program ambassador @ntaylorgolf59.

2025 marks another successful year of growth and impact for First Tee – Canada!
Since launching the program in 2021, we have engaged more than 276,000 Canadian youth from coast to coast.
Thank you to our supporters across the country who believe in First Tee and our mission to help youth from all backgrounds build confidence, resilience, and life skills through golf.
@TheJoeMarino listened to your pod today - you didn’t mention Shavers as a potential ‘fill the Coleman role.’ Isn’t he a potential viable upgrade? What do we think?
@TeeTimesPub@stoolpresidente@RobbyBerger have to take some accountability for not catching this on the scouting report and immediately removing him from your draft board.
We are proud to welcome Canadian golf star @ntaylorgolf59 as an official ambassador for First Tee – Canada.
Nick and his family are passionate about giving back to the game and helping youth from all backgrounds access golf, develop life skills and embrace values they can carry beyond the course.
Together, we will continue growing the game and building game changers.

@TravSargent@RiggsBarstool This take is laughable. I’m a scratch, played with an up and coming player on LPGA and got smashed. Closed out after 14 holes and I played good. I’ll bet you $1K if @RiggsBarstool ends up setting this up
Changing the game.

Terrific performances by the two B.C. kids at today's Drive, Chip & Putt national finals at Augusta National Golf Club. West Vancouver's Jenny Guo finished second in the girls 12-13 age category, while Vancouver's Allen Kong tied for third in the boys 7-9 age category.
