Without further progress @COP26 we're on track to a 2.4°C hotter world. This will devastate places of nature, beauty and history.
Tag @BorisJohnson to show your support for world leaders pushing ahead in a final drive to keep 1.5°C alive. #COP26
Proud to have been a part of making this happen. Much common ground from a huge spectrum of landowning groups - and lots for us to take forward. Massive thanks to @WimpoleEstateNT for being fabulous hosts!
Today, England's largest landowners and the government will meet @WimpoleEstateNT, for a one-day summit of climate change commitments ahead of COP26. The aim is to help the government reach its net-zero target and pledge to nature-based solutions.

Do take a look at this video. So proud of my excellent colleagues - from those who set the vision, to the staff and volunteers that are delivering it at the houses, gardens, coast and countryside in our care. Climate change really is #thefightthatunites

@RobertLingard@AdamDyster Developed an obsession with classic caffs as a student @UCLHistory. Left London about 5 years ago now but think/hope these beauties are still going! Might even join you for one or two if I get the chance.
It's never been more important for the National Trust to have a strong voice on climate change.
We are seeking a campaigning specialist adept at targeted political engagement & running dedicated comms & marketing campaigns.

Our founders fought to protect breath-taking natural beauty in an age before planning controls. Today, we respond to the Government's proposed reforms to the planning system: https://t.co/88d7RUYW73
NEW: Lockdown has shown us how important green spaces are - but also how unequal access to them is.
We've written to the PM, with @andy4wm, @MarvinJRees & others, setting out our proposal to change this with an Urban Green Infrastructure Growth Fund

Morning @karinsmyth. Me and some other constituents have been emailing you to see if you can meet us on Zoom tomorrow as part of #TheTimeIsNow virtual lobby of MPs for a green recovery? I know other Bristol MPs are taking part @TheCCoalition
.@HMcG_DGNT @nationaltrust sets out the importance of a green renewal from the current crisis – delivering green growth, nature-rich green spaces & reducing carbon emissions. Conservation charities have a huge role to play but do need government support. https://t.co/iAOme9CAVs
When the nation can travel again, people will need nature more than ever. Conservation groups need urgent Government help from @DefraGovUK, so we can all keep fighting climate change and nature’s decline.
