@klimaslid@OilersNow Im telling you, no way oilers hire him. This is just a ploy to get the nhl to allow us to hire Cassidy. Betman won't give us Cassidy, let's bring in the one guy the NHL doesnt want back then
@oiler@Bob_Stauffer@EdmontonOilers@PuckPedia PuckPedia litterly says you cannot update or alter the trade protection on your current, active contract after signing an extension. A player's active contract can only be modified through a buyout and an extension does not go into effect until the old contract runs out. July 1
@oiler@Bob_Stauffer@EdmontonOilers@PuckPedia Yea, it shows his whole contract is in. Doesn't mean it actually is. His contract takes effect July 1st, 2026. Again. Contract that includes NMC doesnt start until July 1st , 2026. You cant sign a deal that starts July 1st and say that the conditions begin in May
@crf04oilers@Bob_Stauffer@EdmontonOilers Not about mediocre, its that we already have a top 4 that doesnt include him. 7x7 for a third pairing is a luxury we cant afford right now. He frees up cap space and gains you an asset to help the team in other areas. Nurse isn't going anywhere.
@edgs1803@Bob_Stauffer@EdmontonOilers Disagree. No good D available in the market. Lots of teams needing Top 4. Walman can give you top 4 and can run top PP unit. With cap going up, 7x7 gives you security
@JasonGregor@JasonGregor the more im thinking about it the more it makes sense. Ekholm-bouchard Nurse- Murphy. Walman is a luxury we dont need. Get a first rd pick and use that asset to strength team or off load Jarry or bring in someone new. Why are more people not talking about this!
@JasonGregor If you have Bouchard running the point, PP ace all that, Walmans not really being used for his strengths. Someone like Kulak or a more stay at home D is better. Especially if Emberson keeps taking a step forward
