It is now almost 80% odds that Dems win the House.

It’s fascinating we’re seeing a few states that would normally have no chance of not being Republican, have Dems drop out and open room for an independent.
Lots of GOP is sick of the Trump era, and so in right leaning states there are actual chances of independents making a play here.
Normally if a Dem is on the ticket, the numbers just wouldn’t work, and the Dem almost never drops out.
But people see the unique opportunity this midterm.

Who has so far only blocked stories that tie back to Trump.

Holy shit... Wired reports that back in May, the U.S. Military was testing an experimental GPS jammer and and caused a civilian plane to crash into the side of a mountain, killing everyone on board.
This is the Talarico effect.
It’s happening across the country, but no where stronger than in Texas with Talarico.
Lots of independents and Republicans, especially mothers, are tired of the bullshit.
They want leaders who are going to fix things.
They want leaders who are going to stand-up for their families.
They want leaders who are going to take on the corrupt and the vile extremism.
And they want leaders who are *good* people.
They see that in James Talarico.
And that is why we’re taking Texas!

Right now if you’re squabbling, you’re wasting oxygen that should be focused on the fact your colleagues support an angry, infirm and incompetent fascist who is enriching himself, eroding voting rights and more corrupt than hell itself.
It’s time to bite the tongue, walk the party line and win some fucking seats, and then we can deal with ideological differences.
Because right now the only ideology that matters is:
Fascism vs Democracy.
Dan, losing is hard. I lost twice.
I lost to Tom Lantos when I ran the first anti-Iraq war primary in the nation in 2003. I was disappointed I got 19% to Lantos's 71% even though the district was overwhelmingly opposed to the war. Lantos said "young man unless you're a movie star you can't just get up and run. You need to do far more work in the community." It's a lesson I internalized.
Then I lost to Mike Honda in 2014. I had glowing NYT profiles & tech leaders endorsing me. Honda had the PTA moms. He said to me after the race, Ro there are far more PTA moms in the district than tech leaders. A lesson I have never forgotten, especially as I took heat supporting a California billionaire tax.
My point is why not reflect on the lesson voters were sending upset about AIPAC, about money going to foreign wars, about food and gas prices up because of Middle East conflicts.
You have a long career ahead of you. We need everyone on the playing field. Maybe the loss will make you a voice calling for an end to the occupation or a Palestinian state. You could help make a difference.
And what happened to you in not being served coffee was disgusting and wrong and I had called it out on CNN when it happened. I hope you'll think about what voters were saying and help be part of a new generation that helps bring about a just peace.

-And McConnell’s doctor still claims Mitch is “recovering well” in rehab from a “small fall”
It’s truly pathetic how Trump lambasts people instead of answering simple questions.
Republicans turn a blind eye, but they know their mad old king is unhinged, infirm, off his leash and with a brain turning to mush.

I have no doubt she wants large donors to swoop in to try and 'save' the campaign, and then use it as a spin out for a leadership PAC that she'll run.

When they know they are out of a job but have deep pockets backing them, they stay in the race stoke division, use that to raise funds, then spin out a PAC to run to land them a nice gig so they don't need a real job until a future election cycle.
I'm actually surprised to see Hispanic still so low.
I know they swung heavy right last cycle and this is a large rebound, but you would still think with everything ICE has been doing these numbers would be >50+
Despite the rhetoric from online disruptors, recent polling shows black voters are HEAVILY behind Talarico.
Honestly, they know Texas is in play, and they know what's at stake.
The votes are divided based on how much lead exposure you grew up with.

It's also worth being clear - that's what this is all about.
If you look at the members of Congress who are upset about federal regulation on prediction markets:
-They all come from states with *billions* in casino revenue.
-They all have donations from casino lobbying based groups.
-Nearly all of them supported the legislation that allowed sports gambling to aggressively advertise nationally.
Prediction markets make less on user trades as they are peer-to-peer regulated financial entity taking a trade fee, not the other side of the bet.
So even if you taxed them in each state, they'd pay less tax.
Lobbyists don't like that.
But they love the narrative of "they don't pay tax"
The casino lobby killed Kalshi's proposal to pay state taxes, then turned around and made "Kalshi doesn't pay taxes" their favorite talking point.
Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour: "If there's a reasonable taxation that you want to impose on prediction markets, let's have a conversation."
*No legal impact unless you were challenging how the Republican law on the books that strips the Governor of power, violates the Kentucky State Constitution, in which case it would be relevant.
I know there are a lot of folks wondering about the significance of August 3 regarding a potential Senate vacancy. I want everyone to know that this date has no legal impact on my options should there be a vacancy this year. Worth a reminder, right now, there’s one less vote for the SAVE Act, Trump’s war with Iran, or the potential replacement of a SCOTUS justice.
Which is why he must lose both the House and the Senate, and by a strong enough margins that the GOP realize it’s the end of the MAGA era.
If Trump becomes political weight to them, the GOP will be rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Reminder, the only time Trump played a golf tournament where he couldn't cheat, the American Century celebrity tournament in 2006, he shot 52 over par in 3 rounds and finished in 62nd place out of 80 celebrities, then cheated on his wife with a pornstar
