Sad that ANA have decided to retire their glorious Star Wars fleet. But I'm pleased to note that C-3PO was the last one standing - well - flying. It was the largest object I was ever invited to autograph. I was honoured to be asked. I'm sure 3PO was honoured to have been flown.

Mandela Effect? Nope. 3PO had a silver leg from Day 1 to 84. Showed wear & tear. Very subtle (no red arm here). But It reflected the gold leg & the sand so what’s the point. After that, replacement parts & simplicity made it gold like the rest. That’s the truth. Remember Truth?

It happened again. The Times newspaper said I was having another birthday. Nice. Even nicer, the kind good wishes from so many fans of the Saga. I appreciate every one of them. Just have to make sure it happens again in 2027. No, not my 81st but the 50th anniversary! Stay tuned.

On Armistice day in Europe, I am so thrilled and moved by Ukrainian forces retaking their city of Kherson. But I also feel for all the thoughtful and kind Russians I have met on several visits to their long-blighted homeland. A better future for all. Please.
