I took the time to complete @ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey to share my vision and goals. You'll be able to see the responses on my profile soon.
It was wonderful attending @ShatterPac’s 2026 Primary Election Endorsement Event. It means so much to be in that space—especially knowing that ShatterPAC and so many in that room were part of the journey that helped elect me as the first Democratic woman for #AD30 to this seat.
As Chair of the Central Coast Caucus Foundation, I’m excited to share that the 2026 Central Coast Impact Scholarship application window is open! As a former teacher of over twenty years, I know that students thrive when they have a community of support and we created the foundation to be part of that support. This scholarship will honor the hard work of students in our region and help bring higher education financially within reach.
I was honored to attend the in-district swearing-in of Senator Monique Limón as California’s 50th Senate President pro Tempore, by former Vice President Kamala Harris.
As the first mother and first Latina to lead the State Senate, Pro Tem Limón’s journey reflects the power of representation and possibility. Seeing one of our own rise to this level of leadership - and knowing both legislative houses are now led by Central Coast natives - was truly inspiring.
“The truth is that we, for the first time in 40 years, have a president who is pushing to not contract, but expand oil drilling off our shores — and it’s a threat to the industries that sustain us, while providing minimal economic benefit for the people, as well as disastrous consequences for public health and vulnerable marine habitats,” Addis said.

It was wonderful to meet with the Democratic Women of Monterey County’s Fellows. We discussed the different levels of government and the power of coming together to overcome challenges. It’s always an honor to meet with organizations like the DWMC who push for gender parity.
Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours! As we celebrate, let’s also remember those in need and take a moment to reach out to a neighbor or anyone who could use a support this season.
One thing I know for sure: the climate crisis is on every student’s mind. I’m incredibly proud of the students who continue to speak up and urge us to pass the CA Superfund Act. I’m actively working on this legislation right now. Thank you to everyone who has supported it and joined the call for action.
Happy Veterans Day! Today, we pause to honor and thank all who have served our country. Your courage, dedication, and selflessness have made a lasting impact on us. I am deeply grateful for your service and your ongoing commitment to our communities.
I’ll never forget being in @SpeakerPelosi’s office on January 30, 2018, ahead of President Trump’s first State of the Union. I had been invited as Congressman Carbajal’s special guest.
That night, she hosted a gathering filled with hope and determination. She personally thanked me for the organizing the Women’s March in San Luis Obispo and spoke about how long and hard she had been fighting for progress.
Speaker Pelosi is one of the warmest and most gracious leaders I’ve ever met. Her courage, discipline, and belief in democracy have changed the course of history. I am deeply grateful for her service to our nation and her example of what principled leadership looks like.
The projected passage of Proposition 50 is a powerful message sent by the California voters - we stand up for every American who wants a fair shot at a strong democracy. Tonight we are reaffirming our commitment to create a transparent, accountable federal government that works.

Over 100 volunteers joined @cademocrats and I in phone banking this afternoon to urge CA voters to vote #YesOnProp50! It was a honor to provide opening remarks welcoming everyone, sharing just how critical this moment is for our future. Huge thank you to the dedicated volunteers for joining the fight to protect our voices and democracy.
I authored a resolution to rename a four-mile portion of HWY 46 the James Bryan Dean Memorial Highway. I’m inspired to author the resolution in part to reinvent notorious roadway while recognizing Dean’s contributions to arts and film in the 1950s. Read the article: https://t.co/PfIHe2Tiec
