Your calling isn’t “discovered” in a day, a month, or even a season . . . it’s CULTIVATED through a lifetime of discoveries.

No matter how much I try I will never understand “people”—as in “those people.” But I can understand a PERSON if I take the time.

Praying this over you today...

“For the Lord gives wisdom; . . . he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his Saints. Then you will understand RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE.”

(Prov. 2:6–9)

[Rev. Carmen Kampman, DMin 🕊️ @carmendkampman]

"Eternal life cannot be accessed by our goodness but by receiving God's goodness. No matter how good we make ourselves, we cannot become what we were created to be. And we won't experience the good life we all want until we drink from its source." - @addisonbevere, "Saints"

When we don’t mourn with those who mourn, we’ll eventually find ourselves alone.

[Addison Bevere @addisonbevere]

If we don’t surrender our pain to God, we’ll soon make an idol of it.

I’m thrilled to see so many pastors and church leaders across denominational lines coming together for Repentance Sunday (Sep 27). Check out this link for resources and more info.

@RachealTorty I agree. It’s terrifying to surrender the right to hate. But life was never meant to be small and safe.

[Addison Bevere @addisonbevere]

I have an idea for today . . . why don’t we first pray for our enemies and see what happens?

@kevinwatson Wow! Thanks for the kind words. That was and is my prayer for #saintsbook. “Grace is but glory begun, and glory is but grace perfected.” —Edwards
