8858 Crore Mega Boost to Hyderabad Drinking Water: 50% Increase in Supply in 2 Years!

CM Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone for the projects today, marking a major step to improve Hyderabad’s water supply. Timeline for completion is 24 months

Godavari Phases II & III: 7360 crore to bring 20 TMC from Mallanna Sagar, with 17.5 TMC for Hyderabad drinking water and an additional 2.5 TMC exclusively for Musi River. This 2.5 TMC is part of the Musi rejuvenation project to ensure cleaner water in the river throughout the year.

ORR Phase 2 : 1200 crore, 71 reservoirs (15 ready) to supply 25 lakh people in 14 mandals.

Kokapet Project: 298 crore for water and sewage in Neo Polis, SEZ and Kokapet Layout, serving 13 lakh people.

Together, these projects will raise Hyderabad’s supply from 580 - 600 MGD to nearly 880 MGD in 2 years, a massive 50% jump.
