Please no one should come and beat me 🤕 I love the Bible. I love studying it. Every now and then, I’ll come and spill bits and pieces of what I find or what the Holy Spirit reveals. I’m still a baby. Still growing. I love hearing your thoughts, especially when you don’t agree
@EsiKoklo This!!! There’s also the issue of things sounding right. There’s absolutely nothing wrong in praying consistently but this foundation for that conclusion is where the issue is cuz the Bible never said any of that. Hmmm…
Been thinking a lot about why some people say things like “if Daniel stopped praying on Day 8, his answer wouldn’t have come” to advocate for consistency in prayer. Yes, pray without ceasing but didn’t the Bible say immediately he prayed, God deployed an angel with his answer? 🧐
@kelvinadu3 I’d argue that He actually cares about boundaries but not in the way that prevents Him from doing His part. He’ll always be faithful. It’s like the same landlord not letting you destroy his house just because he’s respecting your privacy. He will do his part to protect his house
I think it has to do with the fact that He made the world and put man in charge to take dominion and authority over all of it. He’s already set that structure in motion and won’t go back on it. The earth is still His but He wants us to come to Him to facilitate the intervention.
I’m confused small
“If our God we serve sees and knows everything! I’m sure he sees when we go through very tough times right? He has us at heart too right? So why must we fast and pray to Him that sees and knows everything before our problems can be solved?”
I mean he sees it all, and knows deep in our hearts what we need right? Why doesn’t he just do it but demand we pray to him first before he gives us a solution?
It’s not written anywhere that it was his prayers that led to the angel finally overcoming the Prince of Persia or the assistance that Michael came to the first angel God sent. Daniel didn’t even know anything was happening till he was told after the fact. In Daniel 10:2,
no one talks about the personality shift in your 30s where you no longer want to be impressive you just want to be rested, regulated, and completely unavailable to anything that drains you
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert - Isaiah 43:19
I had a different verse planned this morning, but when I opened my Bible, I just happened to come across Psalm 17, and guess what? That’s exactly what I needed more. I think it was a cool way of God showing off. “I know what you need, boy, just trust me.”
