The devastation in Venezuela has been sad to see. I am grateful to the first responders working tirelessly on the ground.

Amazon's started our support efforts with donations to six nonprofit partners (including the World Food Programme, Red Cross, International Medical Corps, and World Central Kitchen) to provide urgent relief, including search and rescue, medical care, and food.

We’re also preparing an Amazon Air mission with much-needed relief supplies to land on the scene when local authorities are ready to receive.

Really enjoyed my meeting with Prime Minister @narendramodi about what’s ahead for Amazon in India.

We’ve been serving customers, sellers, developers, startups, and enterprises in India for more than a decade and just getting started.

Shared that we’re investing $48 billion over the coming five years, including $21+ billion in AI and cloud infrastructure.

By 2030, we plan to support 3.8 million jobs, enable $80 billion in ecomm exports, and bring benefits of AI to 15 million small businesses and 4 million government school students.

Great to be in India and visit an Amazon Now micro-fulfillment center in one of the busiest areas of Mumbai.

The things you need quickly—groceries, shampoo, baby products, and more—get picked and delivered just minutes after ordered. Customers are loving it… Prime members triple their shopping frequency once they start using it, and we've seen orders double every quarter since launch.

It's our fastest-growing ecommerce business unit in India and we're expanding to 300+ cities as part of our plan to build the country’s largest delivery-in-minutes network. And what we've learned building it here is now helping us scale it across the U.S. and around the world.

Team's also investing in how we support delivery associates, expanding our air-conditioned rest centers to 250 across the country (open to anyone in the industry), plus education scholarships for their kids, and upgraded insurance.

About 11 years ago, with our very talented Annapurna team and informed by the unusual scale and insight we had in operating the largest cloud infrastructure, we decided to design and build our own CPU chip.

This CPU chip is now known as Graviton, and is well-loved by our AWS customers. About 98% of our top 1,000 EC2 customers use Graviton expansively. Over 120,000 customers are using Graviton. Meta just committed to tens of millions of Graviton cores for their agentic AI efforts. Uber and Snowflake are deploying Graviton as well.

Today, we released Graviton5 into General Availability.

The reason customers are so excited about Graviton is that it offers about 30-40% better price-performance than comparable instances. This is a big deal at any scale.

But, when you layer on top of how much CPU customers normally use with the fact that AI’s growth is driving explosive CPU expansion given that post-training, reinforcement learning, and agentic actions use CPU, Graviton becomes even more compelling.

Every May for Global Month of Volunteering, tens of thousands of our teammates around the world show up for the communities where we live and work. Was lucky to join a group of them to prep meals at Community Lunch on Capitol Hill in Seattle, a nonprofit that serves free, made-from-scratch meals to low-income and unhoused community members.

We spent the morning chopping lettuce, peeling carrots, dicing onions, portioning fruit and overnight oats, mashing potatoes, and making salads, helping the kitchen crew get ready to serve 200-300 neighbors (something they've been doing every weekday for more than 40 years). Nearly 2,000 Amazonians have volunteered here since our partnership started in 2023.

It's great to see our teammates partner in their communities. Last year, Amazonians participated in more than 500,000 volunteer activities across 55 countries: helping restore polluted ecosystems, joining classrooms to teach students about AI, supporting local food banks, and helping neighborhoods recover from wildfires, just to name a few.

Proud of all our teammates across the company who make this kind of commitment, not just during Global Month of Volunteering, but all year round. It makes a meaningful difference for a lot of folks.

The Quick desktop app is here, and it’s compelling.

Connects to your email, calendar, Slack, local files, and several other apps to flag important communications, retrieve and summarize info, make recommendations, send communications, and create agents that do work you used to have to do yourself. Gets smarter and more personalized the more you use it.

Been using it a lot recently and is changing how I work. It’s allowing me to use applications like my inbox more like an archive, and Quick as my personalized, prioritized, productivity hub that can multi-task various needs.

Very interesting announcement from OpenAI this morning. We’re excited to make OpenAI's models available directly to customers on Bedrock in the coming weeks, alongside the upcoming Stateful Runtime Environment. With this, builders will have even more choice to pick the right model for the right job. More details at our AWS event in San Francisco tomorrow.

Another exciting development in our chips business as Meta has decided to bet big on Graviton, our leading CPU chip—committing to tens of millions of Graviton cores.

Agentic AI is becoming almost as big a CPU story as a GPU story. Complex multi-step orchestration, real-time reasoning, and code generation at scale is CPU-intensive work. And, our purpose-built Graviton5 instances deliver up to 33% lower latency between cores, which matters a lot for these kinds of workloads.

Excited to have @Delta bringing @Amazonleo high-speed internet to its fleet (starting with 500 planes in 2028).

We'll also be working with them to expand their popular Delta Sync Wi-Fi and seatback experiences—delivering even more personalized connections onboard.

Each plane will have an aviation-specific Leo antenna onboard that can do speeds up to 1 Gbps download / 400 Mbps upload. Makes the experience similar to what many folks have at home and work—just 35,000 feet in the air.

Excited about our new strategic partnership with @OpenAI. Developers and companies of all kinds are eager to run services powered by OpenAI models on AWS, and our unique collaboration will provide a stateful runtime environment for them that’s powered by OpenAI’s frontier intelligence on Amazon Bedrock.

OpenAI is also going big on our custom Trainium chips, which are 30-40% more price performant than comparable GPUs, to power their growth. Both the leading AI labs now have made significant commitments to Trainium, which is gaining a lot of momentum.

We’ll be the exclusive 3P cloud distribution provider for OpenAI Frontier (which enables organizations to build, deploy, and manage teams of AI agents).

This is a unique class that combines students from computer science, business, and design backgrounds collaborating on real products (from ideation to pitch)-- just like any startup.

I suspect this sort of cross-disciplinary curriculum will pick up more momentum at more schools over time as AI allows every person working on a new idea to start from a more advanced starting spot, but it’s not easy to create curriculum and a culture in a class like Greg, Ed, and these students have created.

People ask me all the time about compelling use cases of AI. Here’s a good one.

Millions of dogs go missing in the U.S. every year—and options for finding them are often painfully limited. Our Ring team saw an opportunity to use our community and technology to help, so they built Search Party.

When a pet owner posts about a lost dog in the Ring app, nearby participating outdoor Ring cameras in the neighborhood begin looking for potential matches. If yours spots what might be the missing dog, it lets you know. You see the photo alongside footage from your camera, then can choose to share the video with the pet’s owner.

The AI is trained on tens of thousands of dog videos so it can recognize different breeds, sizes, fur patterns, body features, unique marks, shape, and color. And privacy stays in your control—you decide each time whether to help.

The impact is energizing. Search Party has helped bring home 99 dogs in just 90 days—more than a dog a day since launching three months ago.

Ring customer Kylee was blown away by Search Party after her dog Nyx was found by a neighbor’s camera just 15 minutes after slipping through a tiny hole he’d dug under her backyard fence.

When a Ring customer and military veteran named Kurt realized his service dog was missing after jumping his fence, he worried he might have lost her for good. He quickly initiated a Search Party in the Ring app asking neighbors to help locate her. Later that day, he got the notification he was hoping for…Lainey was found.

Chris, a Ring camera owner, helped reunite another lost dog with its family after getting an app alert that said, “Your camera may have spotted a missing dog,” flagging footage he wouldn't have otherwise noticed.

And the list of stories like these keeps growing.

Now we’ve expanded this feature so that anyone in the U.S. can start a Search Party through the Ring app, even without a Ring camera (lost pets are one of the most common posts in the Ring Neighbors app—over 1M last year alone).
