Here’s the traditional method of making kukum. The primary ingredient is turmeric, along with vengaram, kasi katti, spatigam, and lemon juice. It is prepared in either an earthen plate or a copper plate and then sun-dried for 3–4 days.

Thanks to Karge, I wouldn't have uploaded this video (from 22) at all. Please feel free to make your own kukum at home. We are greatful to Maha Periyava, who gave us this sacred recipe.

No other city in the world would be able to function after receiving the kind of rainfall Mumbai has recieved over the last few days. The fact that offices are open, stock market running, airport operating and people still making it to meetings etc is a true testament to the incredible spirit of our great city.
