I got to see 4 retrospective screenings @tsplusf this year
Orlacs Hands (1924)
Neverending Story (1984)
Little Shop Of Horrors (1960)
Them! (1954)
Love seeing old movies on a big screen, but Little Shop was by far the standout, just a joy to watch 🥰
Thanks @tsplusf @alanfrightfest & all the staff for a wonderful festival, it's been wonderful, I wish more UK folks would come along.
My top 5 of the festival:
1 - After Us, The Flood
2 - Grand Theft Hamlet
3 - Spermageddon
4 - The Complex Forms
5 - Parvulos
@tsplusf today Flow was a beautiful magical ride for all ages, even if I was baffled by what was going on.
The Boy & His Robot is ambitious in every way, the effects work, and the plot serves its purpose. This is a passion for the director, but those jokes tho are not my funny!
@FrightFest @thepigeonshrine Parvulos @FrightFest 7.1/10 First two acts entertaining but 3rd act could have been trimmed. Was different enough to stand out in the genre #FF24#FrightFest5
It's now time for UK Premiere of TIME TRAVEL IS DANGEROUS. In attendance we have director Chris Reading, and producers / co writers Hilary and Anna-Elizabeth Shakespeare introducing the film
Heading home after watching two films at @FrightFest Halloween 🎃
MAGPIE was a slow burner of a thriller that slows cranks up the tension to a finale that will leave you speechless.
PARVULOS a different look at the zombie film that’s also incredibly bleak.
Absolutely adored this amazing film, I have never played GTA but it was fascinating to see how the whole affair took shape and brought people together. Thanks @tsplusf for screening this gem!
All set for day 2 of @FrightFest Halloween. A big 6 film day, all sounding interesting.
The Bitter Taste I won't be able to list in my stats as its not on @letterboxd !
If I'm 1 short of my target this year, I'll know who to blame!🤣
@alanfrightfest spent time this morning @tsplusf talking about his latest book, a collection of all his reviews for Starburst magazine. Buy a copy now it's amazing!
