Went looking for some strawberries for a person as they complained everywhere was too expensive. Saw this decent deal and decided to buy two for them. The end total was surprising though as If they forgot to add an extra sale signage based on quantity.

Saw this new sign about bicycle and scooters in the Vancouver Stanley Park area. Wasn’t expecting this right on cue.

Looks like they are removing the FIFA soccer ball design at Science World. Been up for a long time actually. #vancouver

This has to be an error. Otherwise it is essentially free $100 for everyone.

Had fun acting for an upcoming show. Was actually on set for most of the day too so didn’t have to stay in the honey wagon for long.

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

Was not expecting to see fire on the ice while watching that Wizard of Oz on Ice show at the PNE today.

Always a nice surprise to see the beaver come out for a snack.

A Pokémon Go Fest 2026 takeover around the Vancouver Science World area. Even after all these years I still hear bystanders asking why is everyone on their phones.

A lot of people celebrating the Canada win inthe Granville area. The crowd control is crazy though in various sections as you pretty much have to squeeze through. #vancouver #worldcup

Browsing through the Amazon site on its Prime Day and I think its own AI price history checker shows tons of merchants increase product price listings on the day to make the sale look bigger. I know retail stores often do this for Black Friday and Boxing Day but it’s interesting to easily see it here.

Some captures the other day of the huge crowds marching for the Canada And Switzerland game organized by the Voyageurs. Won’t be another World Cup home game for the team apparently. Also filmed some of the night time scenery for later. Was about 145 GB of footage in total.

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

@AmazingZoltan I had an action camera running the whole time as well too. Now I have to see if you are in the frame. Anything specifically identifiable versus all the sea of red?

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

Have hours of footage to go through of the Canada VS Qatar World Cup crowd today around Vancouver BC Place plus people celebrating at Granville street after the 6-0 win. Including the Voyageur March.

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

Quick captures of the Vancouver World Cup crowd around the Granville street area. Was definitely packed. #vancouver #FIFAworldcup

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

Wasn't expecting to see this when arriving at the Vancouver FIFA fan festival. Thought the guy was trying to RKO the people with the soccer heads at first or something for fun.

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

Night captures of the BC Place and the Science World soccer ball area one day before all the FIFA 2026 events. #vancouver #FIFAWorldCup

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

Was around the water today and thought it would be interesting to get some videos of the sea bus. Was actually a cruise ship too further away. #vancouver #seabus

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

This was confusing as this guy was on the ground at the SkyTrain station and the attendant seemed like he was just casually talking to the person as if everything was normal.

[Alan Yu @alanyu]

That FIFA soccer ball design at Science World is almost finished it seems. Was just one section opened when I got there today. Been capturing drone views of it daily as it progressed. #fifa #vancouver

All these warnings about ticks around here now and it seems like they are getting the squirrels.
