@Riff4L@dykeengineer He had his own life and his own personal relationships; he didn’t want to marry her either. They met exclusively because of a political matter. Marriages from that time, especially within royalty, were focused more on power than on love or sex.
@iamladyshipper Thank you so much! Honestly, I thought my intentions with these drawings were clear. It feels a bit ridiculous to have to justify why I’m not lesbophobic lmao. 😵😅
@dykeengineer I have no interest whatsoever in making my audience think Caitlyn is bisexual, because I never implied that. She does NOT want to marry a man, and she does NOT like men. This is inspired by a historical period, NOT by Arcane’s social context.
@Riff4L@dykeengineer Oh... nope! That never happend! Caitlyn was always very strict about not wanting to sleep with him, and he never forced her. They simply pretended, in public, that the marriage had been consummated.
@dykeengineer Clearly, if I wanted to change a character’s sexual orientation, I wouldn’t dedicate my account to a lesbian couple. I’d simply make fanart of a heterosexual couple instead. I think it’s a bit pretentious to assume my drawing has enough impact to somehow hurt the lgbt community
Thanks to @GS_Promo_Inc, I was able to produce custom keychains as gifts for the wonderful community following the Arcane Medieval webcomic!
