@MeLlamoJeremyX Actually, Rem was popular among readers in the early days. But more importantly, the source of this saying is Tappei's own QA. That's why this idea spread so widely.
@bearic_ To be honest, I still find it incredibly hypocritical that Minerva says that in this scene. It's not very healthy to take lessons about selfishness from a witch who caused countless disasters and the deaths of countless children and adults because of her own selfishness.
@Screen_Takes@Jaereku I don't think it's right for you to insult Tappei like that. Ultimately, it's a mistake on both sides; it's between a boy and a girl who couldn't communicate at that moment, and nothing more, as he himself says in Natrrative, when they meet again.
@Esmyso Currently, he is trying to seek help from the second-highest family in the country—the Karsten family—to prevent the destruction of a border town and the country's most powerful magical force Roswaal by greatest terror group of world, witch cult.
@Esmyso From the reader's perspective: Subaru stopped the destruction of the capital. Don't forget Puck's crazy act of freezing everyone when Emilia dies. Even with these actions, Subaru is a hero.
@Emanor_x This is also the first direct mention of silver-haired half elf witches existing before Satella and Emilia. And ofc witches exist before our witches.
@Emanor_x That's why he was searching for silver-haired half-elves, to kill them and prevent the world from being destroyed again. Because he is the judge. Protector of good. But he couldn't change fate, because only Subaru could.
@PetzJones43 Not huge fan of rem, but least het character development- backstory in Arc2 provided a nice parallel to Subaru. And her gradual independence in Arc 3 wasnt bad either. amnesia plot is nonsensical. A more independent development for Rem, like Slothrem, would have been better.
@MerciusJambe13@Dre12121212@Emanor_x Ironically, characters are usually worse in the WN and better in the NL, character-wise. Puck is the opposite. That's why Emilia struggles in the trials in Arc4. He forcibly suppresses Emilia's memories. In the WN, Emilia herself was the one who suppressed them.
@MerciusJambe13@Dre12121212@Emanor_x Puck is a truly misogynistic useless fraud, btw. "I'd freeze the world" My ass. Nah, he is literally the weakest great spirit in prime. (Dont count Beatrice). Ironically, a normal human being could permanently kill Puck by burning his soul with just a few sentence if they know.
@Emanor_x Meanwhile, the girl and her family managed to survive. İnsane but yeah. I guess her father managed to cut off his arm with the knife he was holding before the ice flowers spread throughout his body. And then the girl became a merchant. We learn this in the side stories.
@Emanor_x It's very dark, Really. Because Emilia couldn't control her powers, she painfully shattered this innocent man's arm from the inside out with ice, in front of his wife and young daughter. And then she fled the scene.
@icyfountainpen Emilia is definitely the wife. Maybe also reinhard kinda. I totally understand the Reinhard husband thing, but Emilia is definitely the wife.
@KotoriFoda Probably. She wasn't planned to have such a big role in arc6-7-8. After all, there's QA where Tappei says he came up with the idea for the Rem character later and praises himself very clever. She probably just served as a protector at the mansion alongside Fredica.
@1loreanthe@KotoriFoda You're talking about arc 10. I haven't read the whole thing yet. But so far, it's clear that the events are Capella's doing, and things will be resolved. Actually, I believe this arc puts Felt in more danger, because of that blood sacrifice- Capella theory.
