Water prohibition orders are now in effect across Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Thomas, St. Mary, Portland, St. Ann and St. Catherine due to worsening drought conditions.
The use of NWC-supplied water for non-essential activities, including washing vehicles with a hose, watering gardens, filling pools and cleaning paved surfaces, is prohibited.
Residents are urged to conserve water and reserve supplies for essential needs such as drinking, cooking and sanitation.
