the "male loneliness epidemic" is something men can literally change themselves by deconstructing their conditioned behaviour and taking a sociology class but instead they point their fingers at women like always lol
the current twt discourse is a PERFECT example of how men don’t see their behavior as harassment bc they’d be over the moon if a woman ever behaved that desperately for them so therefore they think we are supposed to be grateful
What people call “positive masculinity” is functionally indistinguishable from healthy adulthood. Yet generic “how to be a mature person” advice tends to be less popular with men than specifically masculine models, which points to the unsettling conclusion that some men do not
Happy Pride Month. If you're a gay man, please remember your power. People often think that gay men are innately fashionable, which means if you wear some stupid shit for long enough, straight people, including homophobes, will copy you and then you can laugh at them.
men be like "omg so we cant even ask women out anymore?🙄" when really they be like "yeah i saw this cute girl at the supermarket so i followed her to her home and knocked on her bedroom window while she was changing and she reacted poorly. that fucking BITCH!"
It would take far more than a month to honor the contributions of queer and transgender New Yorkers.
From the Cercle Hermaphroditos in 1895, the first trans advocacy group in the United States, to the drag balls of the Harlem Renaissance, to the Stonewall uprising, to the Lesbian Herstory Archives, to ACT UP!, founded in 1987 as queer people fought for their lives while the Reagan administration looked away, New York City's history has long been shaped by queer and trans New Yorkers.
To all our queer and trans neighbors: you deserve a City where you can afford to live safely, openly, and joyfully.
Happy Pride, New York City.
@alwaysintrepid@crewslover I would be WAY nicer to random men I met in the world if I hadn't learn the hard way that any amount of kindness invites the wrong intentions and there's too many stories of things going wrong for many women
@alwaysintrepid@crewslover And frankly, we don't know how you'll react to "no". How much you'll push. We don't know you. So instead of prioritizing your feelings maybe think for 2 seconds how we're experiencing, esp if your goal is genuine human connection
they think they deserve access to women at all times. man that was working in a building near me would always try to approach me when i would be returning home and i never responded to him. he ended up requesting me on ig via finding out my last name on my building mail box
