The Oxford Union’s incoming president appeared to celebrate the shooting of Charlie Kirk just months after debating him.
In messages seen by The Telegraph, Mr Abaraonye posted: “Charlie Kirk go shot, let’s f---ing go”
Another message, believed to be on the student’s Instagram account, stated “Charlie Kirk got shot loool”, an exaggeration of the abbreviation “laughing out loud”
This “man” should not be representing the @OxfordUnion@UniofOxford
Utter disgrace (article below)
What UK MP David Lammy says about a Christian organisation that speaks for those who have differing opinions to the woke ideologies that cause so much division. @UKLabour
Your Deputy Prime Minister, David Lammy, described us and Charlie as ‘sinister forces’ and ‘xenophobic’.
Other Labour MPs have protested with violent far-left activists who attacked us.
The language your party and the wider left uses to describe people like Charlie and us is the reason why we face this violence.
Shame on you.
@TPointUK Vile man. Charlie was brilliant. I hope to hear more from you Turning Point UK. I am shocked and disgusted by these left-extremist activist’s comments. They have no humanity, only hate. God bless you all.
🚨NEW PRESIDENT OF OXFORD UNION CELEBRATES CHARLIE KIRKS DEATH
This is horrific😳
The very same man who debated Charlie when he attended Oxford University earlier this year has now cheered on his death
OXFORD UNIVERSITY SURELY CANNOT CONDONE THIS
@SkyNewsBreak Charlie Kirk was well known in the UK - whoever these idiots are being interviewed now in Sky Breaking News have no idea how influential he was on social media.
The murder of Charlie Kirk is a tragedy, and a sign of the utter desperation and cowardice of those who could not defeat him in argument. Charlie Kirk has been killed not for espousing extremist views - because he didn’t. He has been killed for saying things that used to be simple common sense. He has been killed because he had the courage to stand up publicly for reasonable opinions held by millions and millions of ordinary people both in the US and Britain. The world has a shining new martyr to free speech.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
@TPointUK They couldn't beat him in a debate.
They couldn't beat his energy.
They couldn't beat his connection to the youth.
They couldn't beat his movement. Even with him gone, they will never beat his legacy.
RIP Charlie Kirk.
@TPointUK So deeply sorry for your loss. Charlie was a brilliant, brave man, with the courage of his convictions. He will be remembered and his message will continue to spread. Love & prayers to his family and all those feeling the pain of his tragic passing.
@Miami_Viking@charliekirk11 You’re wrong. Many people when facing a terminal illness, turn towards faith - even those who have not had faith before. Medicine might help to cure but it can’t address the spiritual aspect of death. Faith can bring acceptance and peace.
