This is true of Monterey County as well - but we have a vision to build out an inter-connected network of protected bike trails - FORTAG. Each section has its own jurisdictional hurdles and funding issues - yet we keep working towards our collective vision of a safe trails system

There are two bills in the CA legislature dealing with police use of face recognition technology:

1) AB 1034 moves us closer to banning police face surveillance by prohibiting its use on body cameras.

2) AB 642 normalizes mass police surveillance across California.

@DaytonPubPolicy @mpusd_now Mean while the students who play sports or extra curricular activities lose out. I use to ref soccer at Monterey High and the varsity would play at 3:30. The JV would play after and we would only get 20-25 minutes of sunlight to play. I felt so bad for those students.
