Having said that, great reporting from @alextomo on @Channel4News tonight. I have heard no-one else make the obvious link between loyalism and racism; the rest of the media has always ignored/buried the issue
Weird but stunning shapes yesterday in a quiet corner of the Ben Macdui/Cairn Gorm plateau. Understandably, the photographer did not linger long underneath the snow for fear of being on the receiving end of tumbling chunks.

Football’s probe into West Ham’s owner is welcome. We look forward to football officials now probing how an outfit which butchered and tape-recorded its murder of a respected journalist is fit and proper to run Newcastle United FC?
Mysterious ‘cold blob’ in the Atlantic suggests the AMOC is weakening
A patch of ocean south-east of Greenland is the only place on Earth that is cooling, and it could be a sign that the warm water “conveyor belt” in the Atlantic is slowing down

@Gussyboy71@GeoffreyLean Btw the renewables/green economy growing at between 8-10% depending on which measurement you take. Shame fossil- funded politicians here and in US want to commit fiscal suicide by missing out. Cannot imagine why….
@Gussyboy71@GeoffreyLean We yes - that is the whole point. Two realities . That’s all Geoff was pointing up. Curious how upsetting some find that reality and so immediately start talking about ideology when nobody else is. Odd.
@NualaBugeye@RaptorPersUK I think it is simply money. You have people paying £6000+ per day per gun - puts keepers and the “industry” under colossal pressure to produce absurd numbers of birds to shoot at.
@RaptorPersUK It was left to North Yorkshire Police to tell me the actual truth. That day I saw landescape and the “killing register” kept by the keeper, proving that anything getting in the way of grouse - or believed to be - would be slaughtered. The moor was a bio-desert.
@RaptorPersUK Somewhat amusingly, the Countryside Alliance sent me to Snilesworth on a PR trip to show me “responsible grouse management.” The keeper that day somehow forgot to mention staff there had form for wildlife crime. Somehow the Countryside Alliance clean forgot too. Funny, that…
The petrol-driven car is becoming extinct in Norway as electric ones take over. Only 19 of them sold in the whole country in the first two months of this year. Yet pressure is growing to delay their phase-out in the U.K.

Really good news. Over the last 15 years the world gained more mangroves than it has lost, thanks to stronger legal protections following the 2004 tsunami which proved their importance in protecting coasts. Also vital for fish and in absorbing carbon.

@alextomo Excellent interview with @paulpowlesland and his gang of river guardians. Given the government's current war on nature, we all need to be Paul Powlesland's right now.
