Fifteen years ago, I uploaded a story about a haunted game to the internet. Today, @BBC published a feature on BEN Drowned and its legacy. I got the chance to speak about the creative process, what I’ve learned since, and the lasting impact it has today. https://t.co/cmH41Uvx0k
Whenever I trek across the country, it is tradition to listen to @Hbomberguy ‘s deep dive on a favorite, fascinating game that I’ve consumed more content about than actually played. Greetings from Oklahoma
I once messaged JADUSABLE when YouTube still had a messaging system because my friend was worried about him due to the Ben Drowned ARG, during the height of this story.
He messaged me back and kindly told me to tell my friend that everything was okay and he wasn't haunted.
I just finished Act I and what I love more than the actual game is the underdog story of how @expedition33 was put together by Guillaume Broche and team finding artists online. I think we'll start seeing a lot more of these in the future as leaner teams stray away from AAA bloat.

@fluffyfox408@BBC Back when I had a podcast one of the episodes was about us going to wattpad for the first time and reading randomly picked fanfiction about BEN Drowned... dear god. LOL.
But that's a very sweet story. Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I’m grateful to everyone who ever shared, iterated on, or remembered the story. This isn't just about a haunted game to me - it's also about what happens when you trust your creative instinct and take a risk.
Thank you, sincerely. I hope you enjoy @deadsaveHQ later this year
The artistic landscape is actively changing on a fundamental level with AI. If you’re sitting on an idea right now - something that keeps tapping you on the shoulder - you owe it to yourself to act on it. Even if it’s not perfect. Even if no one gets it at first. Don't wait.
