This detailed walkthrough of my custom agent memory system "Memory Lane" is one of the most technical videos I've made.
But I regularly get messages from non technical people thanking me for breaking it down in a way they could understand

Is there a good way to control Claude Code on your computer (with dangerous permissions) from your phone, like Codex Mobile?
And no, I'm not using Dispatch, it sucks.
When it comes to managing people, I'm very bad at it bc I manage the way I want to be managed, which is not at all.
When it comes to managing my robots, I manage more like a good manager, asking questions more than giving orders.
There's a lesson here somewhere.
Sent at 3:34pm eastern on the day of the change they didn't remind anybody about.
On the plus side, my JFDI rigging is now ready for local models as they get better, so I'm gonna take this as a win for me and the third most insane move Anthropic made in the last 7 days π
@jason_coleman Give them a rough draft that is too shitty to send and the goal of making a better draft that they are proud of.
The whole "make a shitty comic sans sign so your resident type nerds will make a better one" but for everything
Sunday project with Claude:
I need to build a micro garage for my motorcycle.
Decided to try modeling it - I have near zero 3d experience. Here's what we've done in about an hour:
- Robot found open source https://t.co/nQ1mdWRJT1
- Got it running on my own vm that the robot can fully control
- Gave it photos and dimensions, describing the goal and environment.
- Had it research the meaningful dimensions of the motorcycle and create its own rough model that i could position for spacing verification
- Custom add on automatically estimates a materials inventory for me as i go.
@joelhooks@mattpocockuk openAI realtime v2 is very good
The tooling around it to get good conversational turns has been very hard to get working, still unsatisfied (if you find something that works well I'm interested)
But the speed and capability is very good.
@theirongolddev The only thing I've found local models good enough for right now is classifying - qwen is very capable of classifying text or images, especially if you give it good classification criteria and only ask it to improvise if it isn't confident that it fits into any of those buckets.
Fable isn't the first.
In 1999 the department of defense blocked exports of the PowerMac G4 for crossing the 1 gigaflop threshold.
Steve Jobs turned it into an ad.

One of my new fab techniques for getting great results from Claude is asking it something like:
What's smartest and most elegant way to do this? What's the stupidest and most brittle?
Having the opposite to push against seems to really help it go harder in the right direction.
