It's difficult not to anthropomorphize Sea Otters when they behave and look like this. We enjoyed this mum and pup at close quarters in Morro bay. The pups seem to be very high maintenance!

Today, we rescued a beaver from a storm water treatment facility. At our wildlife hospital, its cuts and bruises were treated and it had a good bath. When it recovers its strength and natural oils that make its fur water-resistant, it will be released in proper beaver habitat.
