Alpha FC is turning football sponsorships into onchain auctions anyone can bid on
@alphafcxyz on how Alpha FC plans to generate more revenue than traditional ownership:
"You'll be able to go on the Alpha FC platform, see a digital representation of the pitch, click on a pitch side billboard and buy it or bid on it. Same thing with kit sponsorships."
"This year we have @phantom, @Raydium and @bonk_inu sponsoring the club on the kit. Down the line, we expect anyone to be able to bid on the sponsorships. Clubs will generate more revenue on Alpha FC than in traditional ownership."
The ATFC token sale has closed with $168,600 raised.
Thank you to everyone who participated and believed in the vision of bringing football clubs onchain.
After reviewing the final result, we do not believe this amount provides @AlfretonTownFC with the capital required to meaningfully improve operations.
In the club’s best interests, and out of fairness to participants, we will be refunding the sale.
USDC contributions have been automatically refunded to the wallets they were sent from.
We still believe the future of club ownership is tokenized, distributed, and more open to supporters around the world.
We’ll go back to the drawing board, learn from this process, and keep pushing toward that future.
@alex_dreyfus@ColinRhys@realbedford The difference between the tokens we designed and the ones you designed is real beneficial ownership.
Yours are digital paperweights.
Ours take an age old legal structure for fan ownership and bring it into the digital era.
@ColinRhys Alfreton will kick off next season in the same tier as @realbedford, which the Winklevoss twins purchased 45% of for £3.6m in 2025
the fair value of Alfreton’s land alone is north of £1m
the club token sale is capped $1m with a max fdv of $1.4m

Hey Mark - going to quickly break it down.
1. The club is being moved into a fan-ownership structure, similar to AFC Wimbledon or Exeter City
2. What’s different is instead of paying a membership fee - you can just hold club tokens. They’re digital assets that you can access on AlphaFC.
3. Club tokens give holders beneficial ownership of the club, and the ability to vote on decisions like budget allocation and chairman elections. The more tokens you have, the more voting power.
4. 10% of club tokens are allocated towards local supporters like yourself for free. Initial allocations will be available to claim in the coming weeks, and at future matches.
5. If you would like additional tokens beyond the free allocation, they can be purchased on the open market. Unfortunately, UK regulations prevent us from marketing the token sale directly within the UK.
Great finish out to the season, unbeaten in 7 games.
Next season @AlfretonTownFC look to new beginnings as its first season under fan ownership in the Northern Premier League.
FULL TIME: @AlfretonTownFC 3-3 @CurzonAshton
A late equalizer from Curzon sees Alfreton relegated from Step Two. Thank you for your tremendous support today.
